I'm building a system for a friend and need good cheap p4 prescott mobo with at least 5channel audio integrated. I have Pentium 4 2.4a prescott 533fsb 1mb cache processor. Thanks!

I'm leaning more towards the newegg one because the MSI P4MAM2-V doesn't have 8x AGP and 800fsb processor support and the Intel D865 is too $$$$

You've been on the forums long enough so that you should know... new posts have to be "aged" like a fine wine before you get answers. Minimum waiting period is 72 hours non-inclusive of weekends and holidays.

That Soyo board sounds okay, but the Soyo brand has been tarnished lately by all their rebate shenanigans. The PT880 chipset is decent for up to around 220MHz FSB, way more than your existing chip will ever do (but a handicap if you upgrade CPUs). If you don't overclock, then no matter. BTW, board shows OOS so you aren't gonna be buying it anyways.

This FOXCONN board for $39 is a cheaper choice. Being made by Foxconn you can assume that it doesn't overclock well, but is very stable. The SiS 655 chipset is a decent one that supports dual-channel RAM. The board has 5.1 surround sound.

Its worth the cost tho
Why? Just like paying more $$$ for the name. Other boards have same features and cheaper.

Because other boards dont have the reliability and stability of an intel board. Just remember, they have a "name" for a reason
