I have two 37GB raptors sata 150, i would like to run my os ( windows xp ) on them in raid 0.
I need a raid card that would go in to a pci slot. My mobo does not support raid because its an hp mobo...

Can someone suggest a good low cost raidcard, a link would be cool. I would like to get it from newegg.com

Any suggestion

Well I took a look at newegg and didn't find anything at all. I found some stuff on eBay under a brand called Silicon Image but I've never heard of them. How cheap are we talking anyways? Remember a good RAID card can be expensive. Wish I had some personal experience to give you advice on but the only one I've dealt with is an Adaptec that's in my server running with some Ultra160 SCSI drives.

Well if they're any good then he can get one off Ebay they don't run too much. One with two internal connectors would be about $40 off eBay. I just don't see memory on any of these low cost cards though and I'm used to having 64MB on the card I run in my server. Would have to think that would have a bearing on the card's performance.

Not for RAID-0, no. You only really need onboard cache RAM for RAID-5 or similar, where a buffer is desirable.
