I'm interested in the design of circuitry and stuff in computers; in general, the design of computer hardware (?) I don't have any experience in this or anything but it seems to be the direction that I'll like. So what will this involve? Lots of math/physics I'd suppose (and hope).

I've gotta go now but please help me out anyway you can, what major is right for this? (CE or EE?) What kind of jobs would this lead to? Thanks alot, anything you feel like sayin' (on topic...) would be nice.

Thanks,
Chris

do what i did and go for EE with a minor in CS.

[edit]
you can apply for pretty much anything with that combo - intel, microsoft, raytheon, agilent, edison, etc.

Cybernetics, that always sounded like a cool major. They took a mix of bio and engineering courses, and seemed poised to be extremely valuable as biotechnology becomes a very important field.

Don't really think I'm interested in Cybernetics, but thanks anyway.

Boonesmi, go home.

Tuffguy, you may have something there except that I'm not interested in programming (CS would have alot of that right?) (although I'm willing to learn, as long as it's not the main thing.)

And a little addition, I'm not interested in anything IT related. Those are just so popular that everybody's suggesting them so I thought I'd jump the gun.

Anyways keep 'em coming, I already had to dig 2 pages for this thing.
