HELP!!! What is wrong with my system???

Two months ago I could score around 6300 and now when I benched for the first time in a couple months, I score 2400s on 3dmark 2000. I can only recall two things which could have messed everything up. I enabled ata66 and I changed video cards for a short while. The video card I changed to was an ATI all in wonder 128 16 mb. I have already tried reinstalling windows 98 (but did not format yet), reinstalling drivers, downclocking(both cpu and geforce), and the only thing I really have left is to reformat, right?
 
I am really thinking it is my hard drive since it scores 6000 when on regular and 8000 when on ata66 in Sisoft Sandra. Both these scores are incredibly low compared to the reference scores on the supposed same speed connection. I have only been running ata66 for a month a half or so. But what I think is that I messed up my hard drive somehow by overclocking the bus to 121 and still using 1/3 pci bus ratio, which must have screwed my hard drive. But it still works and all in text just fine. THe real problem is getting choppy and slow in games.
