HELP --- What is a D,L file?

My neighbor has a file on his computer that cannot be deleted. The file name is dafg!n Yes that is an exclamation point. It is in an AOL folder and takes up 40kb. What is this and has anyone every run accross this?

my suggestion, is to go to MS-prompt from restart and look it up and DELETE it.

try deleting it from a DOS command prompt. I'm guessing this is Win98/ME, right?

Of course, if it's ME, he would have to boot to a dos boot disk.

Try uninstalling AOL and getting a real ISP.

Tried from DOS already and that did not work. He has cable modem but still uses AOL....WTF!

Any other suggestions.....btw he is running Win2k pro
