will I need to reinstall the bios revision 1.002A???

Or can I just remove the batttery for a period of time...I tried this but removed the battery for like 30sec??

There is no need to remove battery or short pins. Download clrcmos.com. It will clear the cmos on any bootable pc. Simply copy to a bootable floppy and execute from a prompt. I think that is why Asus chose to do away with the jumper and just left the solder points.clrcmos link No you will not need to reinstall the bios. It will just go back to setup defaults status.
