Help me please! I was trying my memory at a faster timing on my vnf4 ultra, and now the computer won't post, what can I do? Please don't tell me I killed it? I've never tried this before. Can I reset the cmos or something? My cpu light just flashes when I turn it on. No display signal. Help!

Ok I looked in the manual, and it says if the bios gets corrupted, it will automatically revert to optimized defaults, but it didn't.

I found the cmos jumper and switched it. Now it's working again. What went wrong? I was trying to get it to run at 2.5-3-3-7 rather than 2.5-4-4-8. Is that too much of a jump?

Alot of times when you go for more aggresive memory timings, you also need to kick the vdimm (memory voltage) up just a tad. ;)

Maybe you should only change one parameter at a time. What type and brand of memory do you have? On my A8N-SLI the default RAM voltage is way below what my Crucial Ballistix is rated for. Bumping it up to the recommended voltage was needed for overclocking.

Kingmax super ram "the overclocker's choice"(it actully says that) lol. I haven't checked the voltage.
