Did you buy a retail CPU or OEM. Retail will have instructions about putting it together if it is not already assembled. The motherboard manual should have instructions on how to mount the CPU to the mobo. You might want to look up your motherboard manual online and check that out. There are numerous sites that have pics of installing processors but its kinda specific to the type of processor that you have bought. Do a little research on building a PC because the heatsink is crucial. If you are unsure dont build it, the heat could fry your chip. I will try to check back later with a few suggestions for sites with pics. Write back with a little more detail on what chip you have, and what motherboard. Also what heatsink/fan you are trying to install.
