Okay, i have an apache2 webserver with ChiliSoft ASP installed on win XP pro connected to Netgear MR814 router connected to Charter Pipeline. (i know it's agaisnt TOS but i have to run the webserver temporarily).
Anyway, i sign up with dyndns.org for dynamic dns forwarding and after nslookup it shows the site is propagated properly to my wan IP.
I can run/view/execute asp/html file on my webserver with localhost or internal ip, both on the server itself and other machine on the internal network BUT they cannot be accessed from outside world or using WAN IP.
However, when i use webcheck.orrtek.com, it access the page and return the result marvelously EVEN on port 80! yes, i've done port forwarding to the server and even tried different port.
So, can someone please point me out what is the problem, what step am i missing?
Cliff note version:
1.Charterpipeline -> Netgear MR814 -> winxp pro -> Apache2 + ASP -> dynamic dns by dyndns.org
2. works internally
3. works from webcheck.orrtek.com
4. doesnt work externally or when try to access using the wan ip.
5. scouring the web for answer and got headache
6. post message here
TIA.
