Basically when I go to install winxp through the bootable cd is starts the intitial process of loading drivers and then gives a blue screen saying something like "stop error, this system does not support acpi, please get an updated bios or press f7 when reinstalling to skip acpi"
The bios is 1005, the newest official one I believe. In the system there is a pci winmodem, cpu (duh...1700+), 256mb crucial ddr, floppy, mitsumi cdrw, western digital hard drive. I just built a system almost identical to this one a few weeks ago and NEVER had that msg when installing xp on it. Any ideas? BTW I believe both systems have the same type of RAM/modem/and cpu, but the other drives are different (new drives though).
