help: web browsing is slow

On my desktop, the web browsing experience randomly seems to crawl, and hang and i usually have to attempt to reload the page im trying to get to...and it then loads quickly. Is there any explanation for this?

I am almost certain it isnt spyware as i have run both the latest versions of ad aware and spybot. i have also verified all the current running processes on my system are legit.

it is also not the internet connection as i currently using my laptop create this thread and i am experiencing no slowness with. is there any diagnostic information that i can post that can help someone to help me?

Try a net use command, anything funky going on? Setting for nic card, duplex,10/100 etc? Hope it helps, sounds like a virus or spyware though.
