Long story short. My Dell x1 laptop was standing in water about 2 inches deep in a bag.
Almost everything seems to work fine after a few blue screens, false startups, and some blowdrying. My only problem now is the Fn key. I can use the laptop for everything but typing.

For some reason the Fn key is acting like it is being depressed all the time. For example when i press the arrow key, the secondary function clicks in and turns the screen's brightness brighter or dimmer. They keyboard was wet.

Any suggestions?

Keyboards are pretty cheap, and the sandwich of stuff not that robust, I would replace it and move on.

Water in general as long as it doesn't have junk in it and stay on too long isn't too bad for most stuff, but you need to make sure it completely drys as soon as possible. Sounds like you powered up while it was still a bit juicey.

Most important thing when electronics get wet is to dry them, before powering up.

I still want to know how it got into a bag with 2" of water, or how water got into the bag/....

You have the same post in the Technical Support Forum - double posting is not cool. :(

Well i turned on my laptop today and i got this screen that is doing a Pre-boot System Assessment test..

Basically what happens is a screen with different color bars pops up and ask me to press yes but i can't because i don't believe the keyboard works.
I get.
Error 1000-0333
Graphics test timed out waiting for keyboard response.

Any suggestions?
Then it says Error Detected, continue testing?
And i can't press anything!!

Also this is a new laptop. I've had it for around 1 month.
Think dell would fix it?

Dell will not fix accidental damage unless you paid for their Complete Care warranty.

Replace the keyboard. eBay or call Dell Spare Parts, I hear some parts are actually reasonably priced through there.
