OK..I am dying to move to a P4 1.8a or 2.0A to try for a 150 fsb(I know less likely on the 2.0A)...might consider a faster P4 but given how fast these puppys drop in price not worth much 100-200 mhz

I had decided to not wait for GB and pay a big premium for these boards since the ETA gives going back....

So I figured I will get a 845PE but I am hearing some disturbing things about cold boot issue on these boards...also I am getting a RAdeon 9700 and Abit IT7 MAX2 rev2 is having some issues booting with this card

It seems people are having cold boot problems with all the brands and whether they are o/cing or not..though higher o/ces seem to result in this more frequently...

I really wanted a board with USB2.0, Firewire, Serial ATA support and RAID/ATA(need the extra ide connectors)...onboard sound and LAN are fine if there

So my choices seem to be ...ASUS and get a better ATA 100/133 card, Abit BE7 or IT7 MAX2 rev(I really like the looks of this baby) or Gigabyte board(but no serial ATA)...but the Asus and Abit are having cold boot issues

Gigabyte not sure

I also saw Epox has a nice board but I do not see anyone using it here

Any thoughts would be great.....

The cold boot problem seems to only happen when overclocking. I would look into the gigabyte 8sg667, and get a raid card if needed. The gigabyte runs stable with pc3500, is dirt cheap, and should be good for 150 fsb. I would go with the 2.4b. Mine runs at 154 fsb on an old msi 645dx board with 1:1 ratio using pc2700 nanya memory. That's about 2780, plenty fast.
