Help: Want to build DVR

I would like to build a digital video recorder setup using an ATX motherboard, and have been looking for a guide or an article on the subject. If know of any, please point me to it.

there's an article at www.gamingnexus.com, which is what first got me interested.

www.hometheaterhifi.com has a multipart article on building one

and www.icrontic.com also has 4 parts of their article up.
