Mods I think this is the place to put this, but move it if you wish.
I am running this here: http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?rigid=23140
As you can see, my video card is ancient (Geforce 256 SDR). I was trying out the demo of Rainbow Six 3 and surprisingly, the card was running the game pretty well. 800x600 noaa noaf. I played for maybe 30-45 mins (hey its a demo).
Even though I knew performace would be pretty bad, I decided to see what would happen if I put on 4X FSAA. I did, and the game was probably giving me ~10 FPS but I played a little anyway.
About 15 mins into the game, I get shot, and right when I am supposed to fall on the ground and the screen is supposed to get blurry and with smoke, etc, the computer pauses for ~3 seconds and reboots itself.
I know it is underpowered, but it shouldn't be rebooting itself. I have a pretty mild OC going on (1700+ 0302 tbred B @1666 Mhz) and this was running prime95 for 1.5 hours no problem. The system never rebooted itself before (under stress) so I'm wondering what could be the problem.
I know its nothing major, but help me out.
Thanks
