Hi everyone,
I want to sell only a few things on Ebay and attach photos, but just checking out EBay's site they want you to sign up for monthly picture hosting service, which I don't want to do.

Q1: I want to display photos on the item's page, are there any free/inexpensive sites to host my photos?

Q2: Is there anything else I should know before selling? I do not want to sign up for Paypal CC payments so I would be only accepting personal account money through Paypal.

Thanks a lot guys and gals :)

You do not have to sign up for any monthy service.

When you post an auction, it gives you the option to host 1 picture for free using ebays site, play 15 cents per additional picture.

Or you cna use your own picture hosting site to host 1 picture. Of course you can make that 1 picture contain several other pictures.

Why don't you just sell the stuff in the FS/FT forum? You don't have to pay lame fees that way.

Yes you can host your pictures for FREE using StoreMyPic.com unlike other pichosting services, registration is NOT required. It's a very simple two step process:

1) Click Browse to find the pic on your hard drive then click Upload
3) You're done and you get a URL

eBayers are idiots! Remember that first rule.

Second rule, while listing your auction DO NOT click the Paypal button (even if you plan on accepting non-cc payments). Why? Because if you click it, the Paypal logo along with CREDIT CARDS image will be displayed. Your auction bidders will be under the impression that they can use CREDIT CARD Paypal because of the image.

I recommend paying the $0.25 or whatever it is for "gallery" listing, it shows a thumbnail pic of your item when people are searching. As an eBay bidder I'm more likely to look at auctions first that have a thumbnail, well worth the $0.25 added fee.

Do not forget eBayers are idiots!

The people on this forum are too knowledgeable about computer stuff and they know where to find the hot deals. I won't be able to get as much money as on eBay w/ all the 'idiots' (according to RossMAN)! LOL :)

I might post on Craigslist too.

Thanks for your input everyone.

PS - I just bought a Dell and I want to sell the stupid computer speakers and the 17" CRT monitor that came with it.

For the CRT monitor, CraigsList might be the way:
1) No fees
2) No shipping hassle/fees --- biggest advantage
