Hi, Noob question here.
Specs:
Asus A8N-E Motherboard
1 GB Kingston Value Ram
AMD 3000 939
Western Digital PATA Caviar 200gb - Set as master
Old Western Digital PATA 60gb - Set as Slave
Gigabyte X600pro pci express
Enermax 370watt noisetaker
Thermaltake Soprano Case
Lite-On DVDR DL - Set up as Master
Sony Floppy
Hauppauge pvr 150
Anyway, most of the way through the build, everything is together and hooked up. So I boot up, everything is running-fans and all. Check the bios and it recognized the 1800mhz processor and ram. Set the boot order. It doesnt, however recognize any disk drives. On the floppy drive it says Legacy drive, which is the same thing it said before I hooked any of the drives up. Shouldnt it be recognizing the drives by now? I double checked my jumper settings. I had to go to work (where I am now) so I havent really tried anything else yet. The answer is probably simple and I will read through my manual. One other question, and I couldnt find this answer anywhere. On my case it has the usb port on top of the case. When I try to connect it to the Motherboard it has a 4 pin adapter, but the motherboard has 8. Well actually 7, because the 8th slot is empty. Which 4 does it connect to? Anyway, these questions are probably simple, but this is my first build and I'm trying to get it right. The guides I found on the forums here are very helpful.
Thanks
