Help w/ network printing?

I have a server at my house running win2k pro. It acts as a FTP server, a print server, and a file server. When I print directly to the printer from that computer, the printer responds fine and prints quickly. But when I print from one of my workstations, running Windows ME, it takes like 5-7 minutes to start printing. I am running all Intel Pro 100+ and 3com 905b network cards, and 10/100 switches between all the computers. Also, the printer is shared via the Netbuei protocol.... Any ideas?
