Help w/ graphics problem

I just built my first PC, with a MSI K7N2-Delta ILSR Mobo, and I am trying to boot up with a Radeon 9700 Non-Pro Graphics Card. When I turn on the computer with the card in, the display is all garbled and I can not make out one thing at all. If I use an old Geforce 2 Card however, the computer boots perfectly fine. I am running the latest version of the bios(7.30), and downloaded the latest nForce2 drivers. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

And I am running an Antec 350W Power Supply as well, which should not be straining the system because it is only supporting 2 CD-Rom drives, a HD and 2 Fans.

man, im thinking that you most likely have a bad card

The only other PC I have has a 250watt PS, and it needs at least a 300watt PS to function(according to the specs), so I didnt think trying it in the other one would be useful. Should I try it anyway?
