Help w/ Dual Displays

so I just bought a new 19' samsung LCD. I have my old 15' LCD and I decided to put it to use. I currently have both hooked up but windows is strecting the OS between both screens. Not what I want. I want my OS ALL on ONE screen and then put specific programs I choose on the other screen on the left. For example I migh want mozilla on the main display and Windows media play on the left display. I have a 6600GT with the latest Nvidia drivers and so far I can't figure out how to do this.

I think with nVidia cards its an option in your display control panel that controls how the windows span. Its been a while since I've owned an nVidia card so I've forgotten. You should have options to clone, span, etc. Fool with those. ATI does thia automatically, and I can't figure out how to make it truely span both displays where if you maximize the window it covers both monitors. I wish there were a simple tool that could let you choose what you wanted to do on the fly.

Edit:

Try this:

Right click on your desktop,
go to properties,
click on the settings tab,
click the advanced button,
Click on the tab with the nvidia logo on it and your video card name,
Select the nView Display mode options
Choose "Standard (DualView)

That should set you straight. Its probably set to Horizontal span right now.

You might want to have NView activated for the extra features, including application specific presets.
