Hello All,

I just recently completed my new build, which included a new Cooler Master Elite 330. I want to install an intake fan in the front, but I can't seem to get the front face of the case to come off and there's no instructions for how to do so. I found two tabs which look like they'll do the job if I could dislodge them from their current location, but I feel like I'm going to rip apart the aluminum or break the tabs in the process. Can anybody tell me how to remove the case front?

Thanks,
Trevor

I just got an Elite 330 today. Building my first PC. Very excited. Anyhoo.

I got the front panel off easily with the side panels removed.
You can see about a 1mm gap between the panel and the front vertical braces. They have u shaped holes stamped out of them on my model.
Anyway I just put the trusty medium flathead screwdriver in there at the bottom near the clip and gently twist the screwdriver. Make your way up on both sides and voila. Seems like not much could go wrong. I just did it again only on one side and it snapped right back into place. I'm very happy so far with this case.
I have the round expanding peg connectors. I can compress the top one to push through, but can't get to the others.

Now getting those so called 'filters' out... My strategy is going to be air cleaning.

Hope this helps.

You can usually determine what's holding the bezel on just by inspecting the inside of the front of the case. There are a fairly limited number of ways that I've seen out there: screws, flat spring clips or round friction pegs. Some have screw holes plus one of the others so once you have your system set up, you can lock down the bezel with screws (usually self-threading screws for plastic).

Thanks all.

I found out this weekend that if I just pull it off from the bottom, it comes away cleanly. No need to push in what I thought were the black retention hooks (those hooks hold in the power/reset switch bar and the usb/audio bar). :)

I was able to get the intake fan installed nicely, so mission accomplished.
