I've modified the script for them. I don't know if it works but their total has been increasing.

You've stolen my intellectual property and modified it for you own gain. You will be hearing from my attorney. :p

If you want to vote faster then just cntrl+n to launch another broswer of the script. As long as the preceeding IP is different it appears to work.

you have to wonder which dog would have won had it been done honestly.

what's the point of these things if the only reason the dog gets votes is because the owner begs for it?

From what i read, he asked, and i voted, not a big deal. How many times do we see threads about helping people out with voting? This isnt the first.

Good point, think about how many people (especially geeks) will most likely pick up a box for snackin now? Not all of them by any means but cracker jacks is getting their moneys worth of advertising. There had to be a winner, it was a matter of getting people to get other people to check out their page. It looks like it worked.

The Chloe's Puppies are now in fifth place. I know it wasn't just me but their total doubled to 4,100 in six hours.

Vote for Frankie

After we put Frankie firmly in 2nd place what dog should we put in 3rd?

I say Chloes puppies because they've been dead last throughout this whole contest.

I agree

Frankie is gaining fast on Jerzy Joe, Keep it up. Frankie is almost to 50,000 votes. Frankie deserves 2nd place.

LOL! Some geeks we are.

Macros and java pages and asking for perl scripts, took days of begging someone to write them....

All we had to do was load the page in Opera, vote once (or use the direct link), right click, select "refresh every" and choose 5 seconds.

Jeeesh!

Well, great. :) I get up at 5:15 (Yeah, overslept.. lucky they were late, I guess..)

Anyways, 5:45 an no one is here. Call the guy...tell him Camera Man ain't here yet.. "Oh, that's not good.. let me call you back".

Camera Guy didn't check his voice mail yesterday... and was still in the bed. So, the end result? They are going to come out at 8, record the segment, and play it on the 5 and 10 O'Clock news instead.

Argh. Apologies to anyone who is in the area and was gonna watch... they caught us all by surprise.

Hm... Jerzy Joe is starting to pick up some steam again... nothing earth shattering at this point, but he has made up about 1000 votes in the last hour or so. Something to keep an eye on :)

And Frankie has made some impressive progress.. perhaps they've noticed and that explains the increase in Jerzy Joe votes as of late?

I don't like the rate that JJ is catching up. Tonight I'm going to set 2 computers up for Frankie and 2 for Lucy.

I don't like it either.. at the current pace, looks like it'd take about 2 days for him to catch up.. assuming no changes in avg # of voters. So, I'm certainly going to keep an eye on it. Of course, we should get a good influx of votes about 5 and 1/2 hours from now when the news runs, I hope.

we're only up by ~65000 votes now.. earlier today we were up by 70000... so they are gaining... probably time to get our machines cranking out votes for lucy again... i suggest that when its urgent, retitle your thread to all capital letters, w/ urgent in it.. and then in the first post of the thread provide the html link to vote for lucy... and tell them to open multiple instances of that window...

Vote For Lucy.. open multiple windows to vote more often

ACtually, the owner gave up, and it looks like he took off for a vacation in Orlando, if you read the other thread at that fishing site. He still has a bunch of people who haven't given up, though.

Jerzy Joe's owner is going to Orlando, not Frankies.
