True, however it appears to work if there's a different IP preceeding yours. I'm not sure of the logic they're using (if you want to call it that) but the refresh worked well on the ghetto dog once a few of you started hitting the test script.

I can't spend any more time on this, it appears to be working, feel free to improve it where you see possible.

I've cranked the vote cycle down to one every 10 seconds.

I'm assuming if we host the file locally, it should work just as well, since it's client side, so I'm going to do that. I changed the refresh so it doesn't hammer it quite so badly. :D

We have pulled back out to nearly 2000. Gotta keep going though.

Voting through the night is the only way to build a solid lead.

Oh great, it appears they have found the thread on VN as well, thanks to a few people who had to go post on their board and attempt to taunt them. This could get interesting..

Yup, tho' I thought this guy's comments were amusing,

Check that link and it will bring you up to speed. They have a little program voting for their dog.
I'm not sure what they are or what AC is but there sure are alot of them over there.
I ran the program and followed the instructions they have there, naturally replacing Lucy with Jerzy Joe and it seems to work well, now we can vote and fish!"

While I def. want Lucy to win, those guys over there seem like a decent bunch. If AT resorts to taunting and name calling, then I might find myself pulling for Jerzy Joe (assuming they don't end up doing the same).

As is, I do find it funny that a bunch of North Dakota fishermen are giving us nerds a run for our money at our own game!

Someone needs to go to that fishing board and post a program that votes for lucy but it looks like they are voting for jerzy joe. It could be the same program but have jerzy joes picture under it and have "vote submitted" under it.

They would all run it thinking they are voting for jersey joe. :D

I have to suspect there is more at play than that one forum... we just can't find it.

Perhaps it is all a result of their newspaper TV? Which we will have running here tomorrow... and our town is about 5x the size of theirs. Should be quite interesting :)

They did call my Lucy a mutt over there! They started the name calling.. She is far from a mutt.. pure-bred beagle, in fact. :) Some of those guys just over reacted a bit, I'm afraid.

Well, you've got my laptop working for you now, should be getting 1 extra vote every 90 seconds or so! At the moment Lucy is ahead by about 6,500 votes. :D By the way, Lucy is hands, I mean paws down the cutest doggie! :)

I know, there's something not right with getting the server to count multiples so I had to shift it to the ghetto dog to work the bugs out. I otherwise can't tell if the script is effective.

I've shifted it back to lucy.

MAN That site is helping alot i seen it go from 200 to 300 within 25sec lol. Is that thing going t okill the server? Could looks like attack and they could report ips?

Depends on the frequency, you can edit it if you're concerned. look for the 1000*10 part, *10 = 10 seconds. Adjust to your comfort.

I doubt they care about IP stuff, I think they're more likely to disqualify both dogs.

Our scripts pwns their redneck technology. My only fear is them reading this thread and having it fall into the wrong hands. Don't post this thread over there.:)
