If you are having problems with the macro try putting 10 seconds on the refresh instead of 300 then you can test it out without having to wait 5 minutes for it to show up.

If we let a bunch of fisherman beat a bunch of computer nerds with something like this we are pathetic. (don't get me wrong I love fishing)

As someone stated earlier, Lucy gains a lot at night. By 8PM the necks are all pretty much passed out from all the Natural Light they drank while fishing/hunting/voting for Joe. The night crowd here has been making a great push. Lucy will win because geeks stay up late.

Tally as of right now Lucy 32,048 Joe 29,185.

I remember I ran a program that voted for a guy's HS to get a concert at his school. When the contest was over the people holding the contest were like, "We appreciate all the votes, but the concert is going to be performed at an under-priveleged school in Mexico." Fscking scam.

Anyway, someone get working on a computer program for Lucy :)

Lol @ you guys with your macros and perl scripts, this is easily done in HTML. Click the link below and leave that window active for as long as you want to vote for lucy. It submits one every second.

Vote for Lucy.

Edit: Don't bitch to me if you crash their sever, this is entirely client side. You're the one doing it, not me.

Edit again: Someone's done the same thing for Jerzy Joe, so this is effectively creating a bad situation as people pile on. I predict doom for the cracker jack server.

How do you know someone did it for Jerzy Joe also?

Because its current vote rate is once every .75 seconds. It's catching up to Lucy. It could be a couple humans with sore clicking fingers but I somehow doubt that.

harassment complete :)
Don't harrass them, man. You might piss them off into getting their little town to setup all of it's computers to win. Keep them as much out of the contest as you can.

That link votes for a different dog. Lucy is dog #39, not #40.

I know, there's something not right with getting the server to count multiples so I had to shift it to the ghetto dog to work the bugs out. I otherwise can't tell if the script is effective.

I've shifted it back to lucy.

Change the refresh to a larger number.. We don't need to DOS the server..

I don't think the one second refresh works anyway -- I just tried with another dog and it only added a vote every few seconds, it seemed.

Did you contact your local paper?

Yep :) Newspaper article runs tomorrow... apparently our paper isn't as fast as theirs or we have more news or something.. they couldn't get it in Sunday's. Or perhaps it's just because our paper actually researched a bit and wrote true info in the article.... lol.. the one at the bismarck tribune was full of "not quite true" statments.

We are maybe going to be mentioned on one news station in the morning, and another one is supposed to be sending a cameraman out to the house either tomorrow or the next day to get some footage for a little spot. We should get some good local support, if we can just hold on a little longer! :)

Come on everyone! let's keep those votes going, they've closed to lead to about 1100!!
