dear friends,
Good day to you.

One of my elder brother was infected by virus. He wanted my help. I went to his home to see the situation. At first I tried to scan virus (by Kaspersky's rescue disk - Boot scan). Kasper found total 2476 infected files on his PC. Name of the virus were; sohanad.bm. * Please see the screenshots for more details.

Unfortunately kaspersky couldnt remove all the viruses it found. So, I wanted to check those files from my PC. Therefor, I made images (by using Acronis True Image). I burned the *.tib files on a DVD and brought those to my house. When I wanted to copy those files to my HDD then kasper found a lots of viruses. And now all files are only 1KB in size. All document files .. even JPEG files. Only, BMP, AVI, GIF, 3GP files survives. All others are 1KB.

What the hell is that? Is it possible somehow to recover those files???

Please help me asap ... plzzz.

Do you mean that your own computer got infected, and your own documents are 1kb in size, or do you mean that Acronis sees the files in his images that way?

Perhaps that isn't a valid way to export the files to a second computer.

But before exporting those files to second computer those files were alredy 1KB in size. I thought thats because of virus. SO, I wanted to move those to my PC to see whether those are also 1KB in my pc or not :(.

I just have tried R-Studio to recover my data. I have been able to recover a very little amount of data. :(

I highly recommend and use GetDataBack. GetDataBack comes in two versions: NTFS & FAT

Note: We recommend that you download the demo version of GetDataBack first to see if your files are recoverable. The demo version allows you to perform the data recovery and to see and verify your recovered files.

A license key is then required to actually save these files. Once you have a license key for the software, you don't have to run the program again, just enter the license key in the demo version to enable the copy function.
