Argh! I am at the end of my wits (not a long journey
. Anyways heres how it goes. On my newish duron 600 @ 800 system (not an impressive overclock but adequte) I can not play any videos. Err....The videos open and play BUT they look funny and corrupted. There are random blocks of color on the screen as the video or something was encoded wrong (or who knows!). The video is bespecacled with artifacts. This holds true for everything I try to play on this system (including divx [avi], mpg, super vcds, vcds, and real media). The same files play fine on other systems I have. I have lowered the clock speed back to default as well as the ram to 100 mhz with absolutely no effect. I also reinstalled the divx codec, the newest motherboard bios, and the latest VIA all in one's. WTF! If somethign about my description of the problem wasnt clear please tell me to fix! Thanks in advance. (description of system in question follows)
