My sister is going to college soon, so she needs a computer. I'm going to give her my current set up.

One problem though. . .the fan on my G-Force 4 Ti4800 is a little "rickety." I want to replace the current fan with a quiet one. What do I need?

(also, I'm going to need a OS...any suggestions on that situation besides paying 200 for Windows vista?)

I had a fanless heatpipe sink on my old 4600, might be worth looking into that.

Get Win2000 for the OS. It should be possible to pick up a copy free or very cheap. Alternatively, use Ubuntu.

Epoxy an 80mm fan to the heatsink if it's one of the big ones that covers the whole card. I did that with my Ti4400.
