Help, USR 56K internal modem does not work with my VH6

I added a 3COM USR 56K internal modem to my abit VH6. I use windows SE on my vh6. Device manager under windows shows the PCI serial controller as not installed. I have tried to update the driver several times without success. I used the windows cd and the modem cd and nothing fixes the problem.

Try changing the slot it`s in,that might help.Btw you did install the Via 4 in 1 drivers?

Yes, I insalled the 4in1 drivers and the problem did not go away.
