I made a RAID 0 array and in the BIOS there is an option where I choose to turn on RAID to make SATA ports 4 and 5 work independently of the RAID array (4 is a regular port and 5 is an eSATA port in the back) but I need 2 SATA ports for optical drives...
How do I do that???
TIA

Can you independently enable AHCI bios/load and have RAID enabled? That's what I had to do with my ICH9R.

that's chinese to me...
In the bios I can choose whether sata ports 0-3 are "raid", "ahci" or "ide" and under that I have the option to make ports 4-5 either "same as 0-3" or "ide" (port 5 is the esata port on the back) so i made the first one raid and the second one ide so that only gives me one internal port for the optical drive, but I have 2 of them...

Just set up the RAID array. You may not see the volumes in the Main screen of the BIOS. Go to the Boot Sequence section and select the "First Boot Device". It will show your RAID volumes as well as optical drives. Then 2nd, 3rd, and so on.
