Help using new burner

I just bought the 24102B Lite-On burner and I am trying to make a backup of one of my cds as a test. For some reason it took me almost 6 hours to create the image file (I am using my Hitachi DVD-Rom as the reader) and when I went to burn the image to cd the cd still shows up blank. I have fast error skip and both subchannels checked for creating the image. What settings do I use for putting the image on CD? Also Clone CD wont recognize the 24102B unless I open and close the tray while its looking for it. PLEASE HELP!!!

If I were you, I would do my images with my burner and I would burn the image made with my burner, with my burner.

That is what im doing with my burner right now since my DVD drive is not compatible with CloneCD
