Hi everyone. I have a compaq presario 1200US notebook. Too my surprise, it uses a desktop FC-PGA1 370-pin 800MHz celeron. The upside to that is that I have more upgradability options plus cheaper CPU's as compared to notebook CPU
. The downside is that by upgrading, I know my batterly life will go down because it is always going to be running at full speed :frown:. I wouldn't really be asking this question if I knew what the MB chipset could support, but the chipset is a chipset I never heard of before from Via. It has a VT8601N northbridge and a VT82C686A south bridge. Well, for my question... Can my MB support the newer FC-PGA2 celeron models? Also another question. I have 64Mb of RAM integrated into my MB. The memory says its a HYUNDAI 119A HY57V281620AT-P. Do you think that this memory will run at 133MHz? I might want to upgrade to a Pentium III. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks.
