Help upgrading memory

Is it smart or stupid to run cs:s or bf2 on 2 gb of ram instead of 1 gig

Would certainly help, but your video card could hold you back from the full potential of 2gb.

In general, BF2 runs MUCH smoother with 2gb of RAM and especially so at higher resolutions. If you have the budget, 2gb is better than 1 for sure.
