Help upgrading Celeron 2Ghz in my Inspiron 1100

As the topic says, i'd like to upgrade the CPU in my Inspiron 1100, preferably with a Pentium M chip. What is the fastest supported Pentium M chip that I can run on this system without having to replace the mainboard?

Well, this is just a guess, but I don't think you have a chance of putting a P-M in there. I'm pretty sure that would need an entirely different chipset. Probably the only upgrade you could make would be to a P4-M that would work with whatever chipset you've got. I don't know if there's any major differences between the 1100 and the 1150, but the 1150 I've got here has a 2.66GHz P4 (Northwood) in it. Great for keeping warm in the winter.

I think you can upgrade to a P4 of some type, as tiger said, but definately not a P-m. P-M's use a different socket and chipset, i think.
