Help! Unable to change monitor setting after win98 reinstall!

After reinstalling win98 I am unable to change any of the monitor settings. The monitor was recongnized as a plug and play monitor by win98. Unfortunately the monitor is old and I have no software or drivers. The monitor was sold and packaged under the name of a secondary retailer who is no longer in business. So unfortunately I cannot determine who manufactured the monitor. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to buy another monitor when this one works just fine. Thanks
 
I had the same problem, and this handy little tool fixed it. Although I have installed drivers for the monitor as well.. I hope it works for you. Good luck 🙂
 
both i and my dad had the same problem, and it was due to graphics card. install the latest drivers for ur graphics card, and it should work fine after, it did both times for me.
 
Thanks PilotronX and ConfusedBW. I loaded the drivers for the graphics card and then I used the device tool that PilotronX suggested to tweek the settings. Everything seems to be functioning fine now. Thanks for all your help. I thought I was SOL and was going to have to replace a perfectly good monitor. 🙂
