Help Umax AstraNet E3420 scanner

Upgraded from Win2k to XP Pro. The XP software does find my scanner, however the Presto Pagemanager does not. Pagemgr worked great before, but not now. The error messages I am
getting is "Umax Scanner line test failed" and "error opening data source". How do I fix this problem. I mobo is ecs K7S5a, and my connection is usb.

Win XP comes with Scanner support, so you don't need to use Umax's programs.

I have a Umax scanner and XP and it's been a while, but I don't think Presto Pagemanager worked under XP.

Just use XP itself to handle your scanning. You can either do this using the scanner wizard or through the Paint program of all places.

I think my problem is solved. Under the drop down file menu was a selection (Select Source) with 2 options. I changed the option to WIA-Umax Astra 3400 1.0 (32-32). This seems to be working. The option that was selected was VistaScan32 V 3.75 3.1 (32-32) and it did not work. Thanks for your assistance. I listed the info in case someone else was having a problem
