Help: Tyan Tiger MPX and unbuffered memory in 4 slots - possible?

Does anyone know whether Tyan is serious that the MPX is only able to use 2 pieces of unbuffered memory and requires the other 2 slots to be populated with registered memory? Or is it as serious as not being able to use Athlon-C's / XP's / Durons in MP mode (i.e. - they dont' officially condone it, but it doesn't cause problems)

I have 4 pieces of 256mb Crucial sticks that I was hoping to use on one MPX board, instead of replacing half of them with registered sticks.

It may be just like it was on the AMD 760 based Abit KG7. It may work, but not officially. Just give it a shot, but no guarantee's.
