I know nothing about how much to OC.

With a 8800 GT I knew where the max was.

Im using MSI AfterBurner latest.

All I know is I raise up the core voltage and a tiny OC and Crysis 2 crashes along with other games. I had it at max voltage

1.150v 1000Mhz Core 2400Mhz memory. I thought I was a cool guy, little do I know that OC is apparently a cardinal sin. I cant find a OC spot or voltage.

I dont mind maxing out the voltage, but why do that when I might not have to. What can I OC this card to Im thinking now

900Mhz 2200Mhz memory ? Thanks all, hope some Ti users respond and give me their OC. thx and gg and gl, and always gb.

Highest air overclock I've seen for a gtx560ti is 1100 core @ 1.2v. With a modded bios for voltage.

Tweakboy, just use the max voltage (1.15v)? and raise the core. I would start at 900 core and raise it 10mhz and repeat, 910,920,930. Just watch your temps don't go above 84c.
I would consider that safe.
Set a agressive fan profile.

Just use Crysis to test your overclock. If you cant overclock using Crysis to at least 900 core, I suggest using another game. Mabe Crysis 2 just don't like overclocking. It could be a unstable driver for that game.

Ok I OCed core to 880Mhz and max voltage in afterburner and Crysis as soon as the screen comes to start playing the COMP shuts down... OFF shuts down ......

Whats up with that ? If I change that 880 to 850 then it works ok. only stock speeds works wtf ?

I barely touched it and it shuts down.. 880 and voltage of 1.115 I dont understand why I cant do at least 900Mhz on Crysis 2

hmmmmmmm Soo Im gonna go with stock speeds . this overclookin brings nothing but PC restarts and shutdowns.. thx gg and gb

You either have a poor overclocker or poor case airflow, and possibly both. I can easily do 905 core on my gtx 460 768 with only 1.087v.

My case is full tower and its open on both sides. my CPU is 21c idle and GPU is 72c load avg.

there is no case doors my ambient temp in room stays 74c to 78c

I play games without OCing and it went to 72c but 80 percent fan usage.

I had a 460 before this I could do 950 core. I had amazing luck with the 460 and OCing.

My hard drive temps are 21c , mobo 30c to 35c CPU 20's and 40's on load video card 72c full load Crysis 2 tested.

I've always had trouble OCing video cards, period. They run at such a low voltage, that only a 10% increase in voltage means 10% more heat, and in my experience the fans are usually the minimum needed to get the GPU by.

The one exception to this has been some of the really cheap vendors like Diamond and Sapphire, I think it was Sapphire, with their 4850. It had a pretty slick cooler on it even though it was just a simple finned piece of aluminum and a fan, and I was able to OC a good bit.

What's the 12V rail voltage at load on your PSU in say HWMonitor?

Did you test the card's stability at the speeds you have listed in your signature for 10-20 minutes in MSI Kombustor?

How can I set my voltage to 1.2 instead of 1.150 max

I use MSI burner. Will it always run @ 1.2 or would MSI burner work alto it doesnt allow that high of a OC on voltage. If I can get it to 1.2ish maybe things will change and I can OC 900 or 950 ......... 2200 mhz mem.

We've been fooled again. This is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to discuss why he can't overclock in crysis again. Lol

Ok did it 4 rails 12v stable ,, AIDA system stability ran all night 8 hours. When I play a game and dont OC , the game works fine and great for hours of gaming....

thx all gg and gb
