I have a computer hooked up exclusively to a TV by Svideo. This computer has a TNT2 Pro card in it.

If the TV is not turned on when the computer boots up, the video does not display on the TV. If the TV is on, the video works.

This is kind of irritating, since I would like to watch TV until I know the computer has booted up and then switch back to the computer, instead of having to watch the boot process.

Any ideas on how to get this to always display out of the svideo?

Thanks - Howie

Every card needs the "monitor" powered on as far as I know. But are you saying the TV has to have that S-Video input actually selected during PC boot? Can you not just select betwixt different inputs to view on the remote?

Ahhh - part of it too is that I have a switchbox which cuts off power to the TV... I use this to select between the TNT2 video, the DVD output (Hollywood Plus) and nothing.

I use nothing most of the time, because even if the computer is off, I have found a 60hz humm coming out of the TV if there is any video connected to the computer.... Even if the computer is off.
