my site

It's been up and running for about 5 months now, and it gets fairly decent traffic. I've been thinking about doing an overhaul of the design of the site and wanted to get your opinions. How does the design look as it is? What do you feel needs to be improved? How's the color scheme, etc? Does it even need to be redesigned??

Thanks in advance.

Home page too busy. If it weren't for the menu, I wouldn't know where to go. Too much going on. Keep news to the news page, forum posts on the forum page, don't try to fit it all on the main page.

i do have some feedback for you... you need to reduce the content on each page. people don't like to be bombarded with information, cause they dont know where to start and will be less likeley to use the site. keep each page focused like rob said.

Are you serious?? I first bought the domain about 5-6 years ago, made a site with it, then killed off the site...and about 2 years ago I repurchased the domain name and relaunched the site about 5 months ago.

I tried designing the site similiar to other deals sites, but I may have overloaded on some data on the mainpage. I'll definitely keep that in mind, thanks alot guys.

Any other suggestions?

i think it's much cleaner and organized when there is only one vertical bar, instead of the two parallel ones you have right now, around the main content

for that layout, one on the left would be much easier on the eyes, i think

perhaps consider limiting your layout to an exact number of pixels, it can really help (having extra space on the sides)

Thanks for the suggestion. The the revision, I'll have some extra space on the side, and a consolidated bar, either on the left or right.

Anyone else have any other suggestions? How about content wise?

It looks exactly like every other 3 column "Hey, I've got PHP-nuke" generic boring website on the internet.

It's not PHP-nuke, but I see what you're saying - hence the need for a redesign. How about posting a suggestions?
