Help!...Trying to connect to team Seti server...

I know Orange Kid is hosting during the outage, but my Seti Driver program won't connect. I tried both the IP address and the URL with no luck. Can anyone help me out? I only have 1 WU left...and 17 waiting for upload. 🙁

I think OrangeKid has to already have set up an account for you and cached WU's before the outage. 🙁 Heh, there is going to be quite a workload for their server when it finally gets connected again!

mech & Insane - I've been following Orange Kid and I think he's been able to create new accounts on a continuing basis since the outage. The only problem would be that the person who uploads/downloads through that queue would only be known by a number for local stats purposes rather than by their account name. However, once he gets it connected to SETI, THEN the person will see their account name show up...

Insane3D - try to tweek Orange Kid and see what he can do to get you connected to his queue.

Yeah, first you have to connec to his server to get an account set up. Then once he realizes the account is there, he has to manually move WU's into it.

it crashed again🙁 but is now alive🙂
seems to be hanging when a new user joins and it tries to get info from berkeley---but not always--guess thats why its a beta🙂

Orange Kid, have you e-mailed Ken about that problem? I'd guess he knows about it, but there's always a chance he doesn't.

I was thinking of something...live stats are very nice, but they'd be very hard on a server that had lots of users connecting. Is there any way for Ken to have SETIQ do a stats run every 15 minutes or something like that?
