Help! TRUE 120 with Asus P6T

I just installed a Thermalright Ultra eXtreme on my Asus P6T. The problem I'm having is that the motherboard's cpu fan power connector is a 4 pin, while the TRUE is 3 pin. So what I did was connect the TRUE to one of the chasis fan connectors, and the system tells me there is a CPU Fan Error upon booting.

Should I just be connecting the 3 pin to the 4 hole connector?

You can either disable the cpu fan error reporting in the bios or plug the 3pin fan into the 4pin header.

4pin = pwm fan.

u can plug a 3 pin fan in a 4 pin slot.

Make sure u get the clip in the right side tho.
