HELP! Tried to merge two partitions, got an error, now I can't see either partition in My Computer!

ok, i tried to merged two partitions. half way through the merging process, i got the error 2003, "File size does not match FAT allocation for file". I looked it up on the Powerquest website (using Part. Magic 7.0) and it said if you got this error to run a scandisk on it. I went to my computer to run a scan disk (running Win XP) and the two partitions are not there! what do I do . please help me!

You being a member of AT for going on a year I don't even need to ask if you backed up your data before repartitioning with PM. Shucks, that's just a sub conscious action for AT'ers. Err, you did back up, didn't you? Please tell me you backed up.

yes, people I backed up. please help me with my problem though! I can't see both partitions of one of my physical drives (I have 2) at all!

do i reinstall windows? unplug the hard drive and plug it in again? help!

You're going to have to recreate your partion(s), and then resinstall everything...
