you can see my rig in my sig. i can't get into windows above 3.4 which is completely stable. i know that its not my ram or NB so i must just need more voltage to my cpu. if my temps are within reason what voltage should i keep my cpu under?

3.4GHz is really good for an E6420. I could only keep my E6400 stable below 3.5GHz. but voltages should be kept below 1.4v for everyday use on air. The extra heat and voltages needed to get your chip to 3.6 probably isn't worth it, unless it's just for bragging rights. It's only a small performance gain.

My E6400 gets up to 3.6ghz on 1.45v with a scythe infinity. Dual prime hits about 60 degrees celcius. Try 1.45-1.475 in bios, but keep it under 1.5v. I wouldn't be worried about cooling especially with that Tuniq Tower you got.

my tuniq tower keeps it at 53c load at 3.4 at 1.45v. even when i put it to 1.475v and 3.6 and itll post but it crashes just before reaching windows. im a little afraid of putting the v any higher.

i put my core to 1.5v and it still wouldn't boot at 3.6. i guess it just isn't meant to be.
