Hello, :)

O.K I need a help chosing VGA card + some questions.

Before I start i just want to say that I'm not doing any OC, so I need the best that the stock mode Offers.
I don't know how to perform an OC or how to open Pipelines, so I dont want to touch thing that will end up with a Fried VGA. :(

OK so,
1. How is the Nvidia's 6800 Lite Edition (LE) ?

Albatron 6800LE

So which card is better, the 6800LE or the 6600GT ?

2. Betwen the 6600GT's which one is better?

-Gigabyte 6600GT (Turbo Force) With the "Heat Pipes" Cooling Solution...

OR
-Leadtek A6600GT With the Regular Fan Cooling Solution...
Manufacturer's Site.

OK, Now For The Questions.
A. What is the Recommended Temp (C) for those Cards?( Idle and Effort 6800LE, 6600GT)
B. Does Passive Colling doing the job well or its better to have a fan cooling ?

Thats it I think,

Thanks In Advance. :)

I see the LE doing a bit better in high res. / high AA or AF situations just for the sheer fact that it has a 256-bit memory bandwidth. I would go for the GT, though, because I've heard such awesome things when it comes to its performance for the price.

(Though, given the opportunity, I would spend a little bit more and get the vanilla 6800 which will be better than both of those cards).

Edit: I totally skipped your questions, heh.

1) With no OCing going on and decent case flow, you should have no trouble with temperature at all. Idle can be safe anywhere from 70 and below really for both.
2) Passive cooling wouldn't be sold if it were bad for the card, would it? ;) It should do just fine.

The unlocking the pipes is an easy thing. no damage is involved...You turn them on and run some programs...If you see some artifacting turn them off and say "oh well I tried".....It is a software mod....IT can be disabled as easy as turning them on and needs to be done each time you install the card or OS.....

Get the LE or the 6800NU and just try the simple mod....Could be one helluva a bang for the buck if the pipes are not defective....

Overclocking and unlocking the 6800's is EASY as pie. I wouldn't recommend the 6800LE.....get the 6800NU, then you have a good chance of unlocking it to a 6800GT. And if you want an article, search Google.
