Hi all, my current build is composed by an Ryzen 5 2600x CPU and a AsRock b450m steel legend motherboard. Considering this, do you guys believe it's worth searching for this RAM or some other similar G.Skill model?

I already know that the Ryzen works better with faster RAM and less latency, but at the same time I'm afraid to spend money in that kind of RAM and get a bottleneck because of my motherboard model. Also, the G.Skill QVL here doesn't show that particular AsRock motherboard model and the AsRock QVL here doesn't show that particular G.Skill model optmized for Ryzens either...

There are other G.Skill's RAM models, but I don't know if it's worth it considering that their RAM's are more expensive and doesn't have specific suport for Ryzen. I read something about both G.Skill and Corsair sticks being the best RAM for Ryzen, but if you have other brands suggestions let me know.

I live in Brazil and PC parts here are expensive, so I would like to know your opinion about my situation.

That RAM should be fine for being only an 8GB set. Here's a link to where you can get it.
Thank you for the answer, I end up buying the 2x8gb 3200 mhz 16 CL. The 14 CL kit is too expensive and hard to find here in Brazil and I'm not that performance enthusiast anyway.

Based on what I saw when I was making this decision myself, from a gaming perspective, you can expect 2-4% FPS gain (where there is a gain, which is hardly every situation), from going from "cheap" 3000/3200 C16 to "premium" 3200 C14 or 3600 C16.

In my eyes that straddles right at the line of worth it for a few but not for many. (I was looking at a maybe 75% price bump or a jump from basically $75 to almost $150 for 16g). That's about the price difference between a 1070 vs a 1070 ti or a 2060 vs a 2060 super... both of which I expect will yield way bigger boosts in games unless they're heavily bottlenecked.

My bigger concern would be if I were going 16g of premium memory now, planning to expand to 32g when necessary. I think it's a LOT less likely to be able to add 2 more sticks of the premium stuff and not lose clock/timings, vs the more relaxed/lower tier stuff. And if that turned out to be true, I'd be downgrading my speed in order to add capacity when the time came, and I'd really feel dumb for overpaying for premium stuff back when my requirements would presumably have been lower for speed as well as capacity (Safe to assume when Im wanting more memory down the line, I'd also appreciate faster memory, right)?
