I have been running a Cooler Master eXtreme Power 650W for a while now, and have been upgrading components recently. The other day i went to swap out the 6 x 1Gb DDR3 DIMMS i had, and put in 3x2Gb instead. Since then if i plug in a flash drive or my psp and copy things onto it, the pc would reboot itself.

The memory is good, spent hours testing with memtest 86+, and works fine in my other system.

I thought it might be power related, so checked the power supply calculator at http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine but it's not working right, because when i entered everything it says i only need 342w

Here's what i currently have

i7 920 CPU
AsRock Rampage Motherboard
2x750Gb WD Green HD's
2x40Gb Kingston SSD's
1xDVD Writer
1xBlu-Ray Writer
ATI 4890 Video Card
Creative X-Fi

I've also got a bluetooth receiver plugged in using usb for mouse/keyboard.

It's currently running with just 1 x 2gb ddr3 ram sticks in, eventually i want to go to 6x2gb.

Am i pushing the 650w psu too much with everything i have now ?

well, the Coolermaster extreme Power 650W is actually a Seventeam 500W PSU, but you still aren't pushing 500W.

Adding more memory certainly isn't going to take you over the top. Try switching back to the other memory and see if you have problems.
