Help! Things to do on a double date?

Okay... I'm going on my first double date EVER tonight.

My girlfriend from work and I will be going out with these guys, they've asked us what we want to do, and we're both stuck. The guy I'll be paired with is a friend of mine, and the guy she'll be paired with is his friend who's interested in her. Details, details... on to the important question...

What would be a fun outing for two couples in Los Angeles?

Dinner and movie is standard, but I don't typically enjoy movies because they don't give anyone time to really talk or get to know each other...

Age range is 22-27, so something fun and moderately-priced (up to $50 person) would be ideal.

Suggestions, specific to Los Angeles or just in general? Thank you!

i forgot, PICS first

How's this: If you come up with something we actually go out and do, I'll take my digital camera and take tons of pics and post them tomorrow. It'll be worth it, Michelle is hot. 😀

Go swing dancing. Or take a swing dancing lesson if you've never done that before, then dance afterwards.

I think it might be too late to set up something like that, although it'd definitely be interesting. We're going out with two bboys. 😛 Heh... breakers swing-dancing... 😀

Bowling? It gets some adreneline going, it's great for talking (unlike a movie). I'm not great at coming up with ideas (I just wanted to get my average post to 3.0 so I said something here....no I"m not serious) but you should make the guys come up with something, that's the only crappy part of being a guy instead of a girl.

I don't mean a private lesson. There's either dancing going on tonight somewhere or there isn't. Where I live there's dancing on Tuesday and Friday nights.

Bowling is good idea. 🙂 Good for relaxing, talking, etc... I'll make that our backup plan, thank you! Any others?

movies, then some ice cream, then maybe go bowling as suggested above, or if you can find something like go karts (the fast ones) are fun and could be interesting, IDK i have never been on a date so yeah

Double Date Ideas:

Dress up in wacky/tacky clothes and go greet people you don't know at the airport.

Have dinner with your parents. Offer to cook the meal (with your date) if the parents pay for the groceries.

Go to a thrift store as a couple and buy clothes to wear for the date (the wilder the better). Then go to dinner and skating (or sporting event or a social event). As a twist, choose an accent that you will use throughout the evening.

Wear old clothes that can get ruined. Collect spoiled tomatoes or peaches (negotiate at the local fruit stand). Find a vacant field, and begin a food fight.

Transport a sofa on a truck to a drive-in movie and set it out on the pavement. You can add a coffee table and end tables for ambiance.

Write your own script, using nature as the setting, and film your own movie.

Wash and wax a parent's car. Then have ice cream cones on the porch or patio. (yes, this sounds like a GREAT double date!)

Go to a scary movie, and make fondue afterwards. (I don't really see the connection, but.... okay?)

Have a contest with another couple to see who can build the biggest and best snowman. (this would actually be fun if there was snow in May in Southern California 🙂 )

Bowling, shoot pool, set up a board game Monopoly or Charades, go dancing (swing, tango etc), ice-skating/rollerblading...

Amusement park. I know Disney land is out there, but that's gay, so what about Magic Mountain? Do this during the day, then have dinner and drinks after words.

Where are my pics??

I've done that one and the first and last ideas are okay, but the others are...yikes.

Edit:

Ohhhh, ice skating. I wonder if there are any rinks in/near Santa Monica, Hollywood, or West LA...

Winnar!
