Hey all,

Still trying to get things working. I spent hours on the phone with ATTO tech support and they were baffled as to why my performance sucked. Since I spoke to them I turned off my ACPI and even took my cards out and added them back. I ended up just re-installing Windows. Just before I did this I remembered a suggestion they had. Get rid of the stripe group and try setting up just two drives and install Windows on one and benchmark just the single drive. This was because my scores were lower than I should be getting with even a single drive.

So I go into the ATTO bios and try to delete it and I CAN'T. Nothing I tried would get rid of that array. I'm sure this is a problem and possibly indicative of perhaps my main problem. Am I missing something? Any of you have this card (ATTO ExpressPCI UL3D) can tell me what's going on and why I can't delete em?

I tried disconnecting a drive. It told me the stripe group was invalid. Still didn't let me delete it. I then disconnected both drives. Stripe group disappeared (So I couldn't delete it) and simply reappeared when I attached drives again. I tried flashing the bios back to a previous version. Nothing.

Finally I gave in and just re-formatted the drive and re-installed windows back onto the stripe group. I did the benchmarks again and no change. I checked the IRQs and they are now nicely spread out so that's not the problem. This is driving me crazy. And now for some reason there is a delay in booting up that wasn't there before. Just before it goes to boot Windows it pauses and my CDROM light goes flashing crazy then Windows boots up and .... no CDROM. *sigh*
