Help! there is a ghost in my Recycle Bin

Months ago, I was recovering files from another hard drive and I attempted to delete a damaged file which showed up as 0 byte. The recycling bin looks empty and I can't try to empty it until I have something else in it. When I put something in and empty the bin, I get an error saying that ghost file is on invalid path.

http://www.geocities.com/jerboiat/error.jpg <-- copy and paste to your URL bar. It is a Geocities link and it must be done this way to avoid remote loading error. How do I get rid of it? It is so F%@in' annoying.

I'm using Windows Me

That file is acatually no longer there and the OS keeps referring to it and gives me the error.

Have you tried looking for it in the registry? I've found references to long deleted files in the registry. It may be that the uninstall database still has a reference to it, or is is listed somewhere else?

Alternatively, you may be able to go back to a time when the file was still there (using ME's disaster recovery feature) and uninstall it again - perhaps in a different environment.
