ok, a couple months back, i bought a car from a dealer. he named the price, i bargained a little and we finally came to a solution that i would pay for the original amount he asked but he would pay for the tax. deal done. i drove the car home. yesterday, i received a letter from revenue department asking me to pay tax for that transaction (which is a couple hundred $).
i am looking for the old paperwork in the house, not sure what it writes next to the price on the receipt, "tax included" or not. i never checked it out. but if it was the worst case, "tax not included". what you guys should do in this case? the agreement between me and that car dealer was not written on paper, just a mouth agreement. i didnt have time to talk to the car dealr about this yet, but i will on monday
